The Lymphedema Lobby Days to lobby for the Lymphedema Treatment Act will be held May 5th-7th. On Sunday, May 5th, the Lymphedema Advocacy Group will host a required orientation session where materials and name badges are picked up. Monday, May 6th and Tuesday, May 7th will be spent advocating for the Lymphedema Treatment Act on the Hill. An optional dinner will be hosted on Monday, May 6th. No More 'Luxury' Breast Pumps for New Moms Under Tricare Policy Change

A Defense Department watchdog last year found that Tricare overpaid more than $16 million for breast pumps. Tricare has now scaled back its coverage to cut out "luxury or deluxe" features, like connectivity to cars and smartphones, and associated items like nursing bras, cleaning supplies and over-the-counter ointments. FDA Approves First Immunotherapy Regimen for Breast Cancer

The Food and Drug Administration granted its first approval to an immunotherapy regimen for breast cancer on March 8, 2019. This decision comes after an October study from the New England Journal of Medicine found that therapy extended progression-free survival of triple-negative breast cancer.
