Microsoft Ending Support for Windows 7 in January

Home Blog Microsoft Ending Support for Windows 7 in January

Microsoft ended support for SQL 2008/2008 R2 on July 9, 2019, and will end support for Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 and Windows 7 on January 14, 2020.

What does this mean? End of support means that Microsoft will no longer provide technical support, software updates, or security updates or fixes.

If your business uses these systems and continues to use them, it poses a security risk and compliance concerns to your company. This is a great time to upgrade PCs and Windows 10 at the same time. If you have a need for new equipment, save money by buying the equipment that already has Windows 10 instead of upgrading.

If you currently run Windows 7, looking to upgrade your current devices or want to check pricing on digital devices or software, VGM Forbin can help. They can assist with the purchase of new servers or upgrades to Windows 10. If you have any questions or would like help in making these purchases, contact Nick Dideriksen at [email protected] or call 319-874-6952.
